this place has excellent food, service, and atmosphere! firstly, our server, bryce, was extremely welcoming and helpful despite the late hour of which my sisters and i arrived. not to mention the quick timely manner of our food arriving. the atmosphere was very peaceful and chill, perfect for the amazing food we had! you can guarantee i will be here again!
Food was PHENOMENAL!!! Poke melts in your mouth, the salad was HUGE, quick service and an enjoyable patio. We also tried the seafood chowder and calamari fingers and both delicious. Definitely a place we plan to visit again on our next trip.
First time here. The young men were exceptionally helpful amd and knowledgeable. Food was fantastic. Fish tacos out of this world! My wife had the steak tacos and loved them. Clean tables and comfortable. Charlie took our order and checked up on us occasionally. Prices were very good considering the quality of the food and good sized portions. Healthy as we like to find healthier options. This place has them! We definitely will be back.
I was here on 8/16/25. Good fried fish, calamari pretty bland, prices are kind of high but it is fish in Arizona so idk... I liked the coconut shrimp the most good flavor, I'll try the mahi mahi next time.
The place was very clean and super cool looking inside. The grilled fish salad was out of this world. The Asian dressing on it, or whatever that was, made it really pop. I’ve been craving it since we left. My son said the fish and chips were pretty good. The coleslaw has a sweet, fruity flavor to it. I don’t know if it’s coconut or banana, but it’s something like that. It eats more like a dessert rather than coleslaw. The wooden tables shaped like surfboards were a nice touch. In the category of service, I’m giving it three stars because they would not sell me a fish taco. I wanted to try something else before I left. They said I had to buy the $15 meal. That is a blown opportunity to maximize sales and introduce customers to new items on the menu. They need to fix this policy.
They always get our order right whether we’re eating in, or order to go. The staff has always been friendly. We love the relaxed vibe, although it is a small location. The food does take a little while as they cook it after ordering. We do not like the fish tacos for some reason they always come out extra fishy and I have no idea why, especially considering they told us it was the same fish as the other dishes, so we stopped getting the fish tacos. I like the fish and chips, but my spouse does not because the breading is not traditional. It’s a little bit crispier, and thinner. Tried the macadamia nut mahi-mahi and I did not like it and never got it again. I prefer the local style platter and it’s less expensive. Coconut shrimp is very good. Spouse enjoys the beer on tap. We typically get the mahi platters “local style” with the rice and coleslaw. We usually get blackened and that’s our favorite , but I’ve also tried the lemon butter, salt, and the butter, salt and pepper, and Cajun. So far, they were all good The butter, salt and pepper is the most plain , then the lemon, and I couldn’t tell you the difference between Cajun and blackened off of memory . The fish and rice are always cooked perfectly, but rice is plain and the coleslaw is not traditional at all and seems to have almost like a slight horseradish flavor, we really wish they would improve coleslaw, maybe add a little sweet, hint of vinegar, and way less horseradish type flavor. The food taste good quality and fresh and it’s nice to have a lighter option for a meal that will still fill you up. Note: these platters for some reason add cheese on top of the coleslaw, which is odd and we always ask them to omit it. Can you build location out in Queen Creek?
Stopped here for dinner spontaneously and it was a great decision. I got the fish tacos and each one needed its own plate, that's how big they were. Full of flavor and the salsa they have is very unique in flavor. My husband got an ahi tuna fillet plate. Not sure what the side was but it looked like brown rice / quinoa. Whatever it was , it was outstanding.
I love their fish & chips. My bride loves their seafood chowder and the shrimp. The service is great. There's a nice patio. We've eaten here for years, so give Coconuts a try.
